1969  -  Data Card formed to manufacturer plastic card embossing

1987  -  Datacard Corporation acquired from National Computer

   Systems by Quandt family (West Germany).

1990  -  Datacard installs first multi-application smart card systems on

   college campuses (Queens College, Loyola College of Maryland,

   Hamline University).

1991  -  Datacard pioneers world's first desktop card printer.

2003  -  Datacard acquires Gilles Leroux (French smart-card company).

2006  -  Datacard acquires Card Personalization Systems Technology.
